The word is out. Krakow, Poland is the venue for World Youth Day 2016!
Kraków is the former episcopal see of Blessed John Paul II, who founded the tradition of World Youth Day in 1986.
“It is a joy, an honour and a great responsibility for us,” Cardinal Stanisław Dziwisz of Kraków said in a statement, noting that 2016 will mark the 1,050th anniversary of the establishment of Christianity in Poland.
